Nanotechnology makes it possible to control the production of materials down to the atomic level. Materials can acquire entirely new properties when processed in very small formats and by working down to the atomic level we can take advantage of these properties.
Hxfibr, like many other filaments, is circular, but surrounded by nano-treated carbon atoms in a hexagonal shape. Therefore, the nano-treated carbon atoms are a micro-difference that makes a big difference to the strength of the material. Thanks to the strength of the filament, we can combine it with thin textiles and still ensure a high level of cut protection. There is also a small percentage of steel in the hexagon. The composition allows more features to be extracted from a glove compared with HPP or glass, including the fact that Hxfibr gloves are conductive and therefore work with touch screens, while also being ESD rated.
- OUTSTANDING CUT RESISTANCE
- FANTASTIC FIT
- SUPERB FINGERTIP SENSITIVITY
CUT LEVEL F
The cut protection level of a glove is given in a range of A-F, where A is the lowest and F is the highest possible cut protection. In our range of gloves made with Hxfibr there are gloves from cut protection C to cut protection level F - the highest possible cut protection.
NO GLASSFIBER
When glass is used as a filament, glass fibers are encapsulated in the textile. This can cause skin irritation for the user, but also risks. If the glass fibers are not properly encapsulated in the textile, it can cause itching on the hands and feel uncomfortable and scratchy. Glass fibers are also at risk of breaking, which causes them to lose their strength and firmness. If this happens, the cut protection of the glove deteriorates, increasing the risk of cuts even if you think you are properly protected. That's why we take pride in manufacturing cut-resistant gloves free of glass fibers, providing gloves with longer life and better protection.
WHO IS IT FOR?
People who work within the industry and need the strongest cut protection. They need to have a world class cut protection, with fantastic fit and superb fingertip sensitivity – they should have Hxfibr.
70% OF ALL HAND RELATED INJURIES CAN BE AVOIDED
According to the American Occupational Saferty & Health Administration (OSHA) up to 70 percent of hand and arm injuries could have been avoided with the help of personal protective equipment, especially gloves. Still, many don’t use hand protection, and of those who does, 30 percent doesn’t wear the right glove for the task according to OSHA.
