THIS IS WELD & HEAT™

Guide Weld & Heat™ keeps your hands safe during welding and other work involving extreme heat, while the pre-curved gloves provide dexterity and make it easier to handle small components. They are also durable with both impact and cut protection and have reinforced thumb, finger and forearm protection. In Guide Labs, our Product Development Manager Niclas and Key Account Manager Oscar will showcase the benefits of Guide Weld & Heat™.

GUIDE WELD & HEAT

MEETS THE NEW STANDARD

Weld & Heat is designed to meet the new standard for thermal protection. EN 407:2020 is the new standard for welding gloves and replaces EN 407:2004. The update covers test methods, new pictograms and requirements, among others:

- Gloves must meet at least level 1 abrasion resistance to be EN 407:2020 certified

- A new minimum glove length (varying according to size) to protect against molten metal splashes (small splashes in large quantities)

- Performance results in all tests will be based on the lowest individual result reported and not the average.

- Gloves with level 3 or 4 flame protection or large quantities of molten metal must be removable within three seconds.

PRE-CURVED FINGERS

Parts of welding operations place great demands on finger dexterity and the ability to handle small components. Poor glove fit therefore complicates the work, and straight gloves relatively quickly cause a cramping sensation in the wearer's hands, as the hand meets constant resist - even in a relaxed position.

Guide Weld & Heat therefore comes with pre-curved fingers. The pre-curved fingers reduce the impact on the user's performance, reduce fatigue in the hands and provide better dexterity.

CUT PROTECTION F

The level of cut protection of a glove is given in a range of A-F, where A is the lowest and F is the highest possible cut protection according to the EN388-2016 standard. For those who need cut protection in their welding gloves, the Weld & Heat range includes gloves with up to cut protection F - the strongest possible cut protection.

TIG, ME AND MAG

Whether you work with heavy welding or detailed welding on small components, there are gloves in the Weld & Heat range to meet your needs. The range includes gloves for MAG, MIG and TIG welding.
